I highly recommend these 3D-printed Scrabble tiles from Mitch Poplack (poplack@gmail.com)!
These are the best Scrabble tiles I have ever purchased. I have several sets of Protiles and NASPA tiles, and these are superior to both! Smooth as glass and very pleasant to touch, perfect font and printing, no defects or visible “dots” on the edges (which is a problem with Protiles), several included options for blanks, custom blank options, and custom color options. He was able to give me the exact colors I asked for to match my boards. These are the tiles I’ve always wished someone would make. They exceeded my expectations, and Mitch obviously cares about quality and attention to detail.
The letters aren’t even “printed” or silkscreened on the tiles with ink – they are also made of 3D printed plastic which is embedded in the tile as part of the 3D printing process. So there’s no way the letters can erode or wash away over time. And the surface is completely smooth – brailling is absolutely 100% impossible.
Note that he just does this as a side hobby, and he has limited amounts of time to fulfill orders, so I don’t know what his normal turnaround time is. But he gave me excellent customer service and communication.
